The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4, exceeding all other causes of accidental death. Additionally, drowning ranks as the second leading cause of unintentional injury death for children ages 5-14, with more than 4,000 unintentional drowning deaths occurring each year in the United States. Learning to swim can save lives!
